My name is Linda Hill and I have been teaching yoga for over 12 years. My yoga journey began 22 years ago when my daughter decided to begin a yoga practice. After purchasing a book, we both started dabbling. My only goal, at that time, was to get in shape. To my surprise, it became so much more. Not only did yoga change how I felt in my body but it changed how I viewed everything and everyone around me--and I did get in shape! Yoga seeped into my life in more ways than I could have imagined.
I experimented with yoga DVDs (this was before online yoga) and studio classes. Nothing felt quite right to me. The pace was too fast and I was beginning to injure myself. I didn't have an opportunity to fully experience my yoga practice. It wasn't until I took my yoga teacher training at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health that I realized yoga could feel so completely nourishing. I was hooked. Kripalu means "compassion" and that is what I strive to bring to my classes. I encourage my students to move mindfully, with compassion, so that they may build strength and flexibility but, also, dissolve tension and experience a deep sense of well-being. I offer yoga classes that will nourish the soul.
If you are new to yoga, I invite you to participate in one of my Beginner Yoga Workshop Series. These series are offered in a fun, relaxed environment where you are free to ask questions and discover how amazing yoga can be.
With over 5,000 hours of teaching experience, I continue to find inspiration for my own my teaching through advanced studies with renowned teachers.
